About Us
Welcome to our shop…
We’re located in Midland, Ontario and proud to be a woman-owned business and part of Simcoe County’s thriving small business community. Our services are available to clients across Simcoe County, as well as those in Georgian Bay and Muskoka.
Our grooming shop was thoughtfully designed to accommodate pets of all breeds and sizes comfortably, and make their grooming experience as easy as possible.
Walk-up tables, two separate bathing areas including a walk-in wash bay for our bigger friends, a Prima bathing system designed with oxygenating technology to provide a gentle, but deep and thorough clean to your pet’s coat, and only the highest quality products for your best friends.
We’ve been around long enough to know what pets need, what works, what doesn’t work and what makes things easier on everyone. And we made sure we decked our shop out with only the very best for your pets.
Who We Are…
Hey! We’re Krystle and Rebecca, just two down-to-earth, outdoor loving, adventure seeking, animal obsessed girls who found each other while we were both working for a local Veterinary clinic, and became instant best friends.
The rest as they say, is ancient history!
After more than 16 years of friendship, and nearly 40 years of experience in the grooming and pet care industry between us, we’re thrilled to combine our knowledge, work ethic, passion and love of all things animals to bring you The Groomers.
We hope you enjoy what we have to offer, and look forward to becoming your go-to Pet Stylists.
Our Philosophy…
We embrace an Open Concept philosophy and are committed to a grooming experience where openness and transparency are the heart of what we do.
We genuinely LOVE what we do and that’s why we do it right out in the open! Our grooming shop was purposefully designed to be open concept for you to be able to see - no closed doors, no secrets.
Pets at our shop enjoy the freedom to explore, play, or relax in a crate if they choose, creating a positive and stress-free experience. We’re firm believers that if the animals are happy, then so are we!
We don’t take ourselves too seriously around here, but when it comes to your pet’s overall health and wellbeing, thats a responsibility we don’t take lightly.
As part of our Open Concept philosophy, you can always expect upfront and honest communication about your pet’s groom, their health, behaviour, and overall well-being from us. That’s a promise!

Rebecca

I grew up in the heart of Oro Medonte, and I have always felt a deep rooted connection with animals and nature in general.
Growing up with a family dog as well as cats, it didn’t take long before I branched out to hamsters, guinea pigs, and eventually a turtle AKA ‘Bubbles’ (who I have had the absolute pleasure of caring for, for over 27 years and counting!) Then came the litter trained rabbits, and after moving out of my parents nest, I rescued my first dog.
In my adult lifetime I have had the honour of rescuing and caring for, a Doberman, a Miniature Poodle, a Whippet, a Jack Russel, a Pitbull/Hound Mix, a Shepard/Akita Mix, and a Yorkie/Chihuahua Mix. Each one has taught me valuable lessons about behavioural challenges, training, a great deal of patience and so much love.
My journey into the grooming world started at Petsmart back in 2002, where I spent over 8 years perfecting my craft, grooming and caring for dogs and cats of all breeds. In 2008, I took a position with the North Simcoe Veterinary team where I stayed for more than 10 years grooming from their Midland Veterinary Services clinic.
In 2019, my life took a bit of a detour and I found myself in BC, where I continued my grooming career at Doggie Styles Professional Pet grooming salon for 4 years. During my time out west, my love for animals grew even more as I welcomed my very first horse, a 26 year old rescue mare, into my family.
With my roots and support system back in Ontario, I decided in 2023 that it was time for me to go home, where my heart is.
I am so excited to be starting this new journey with my bestie Krystle!
If you don’t see me grooming away with fur stuck to my face and flying everywhere, you can bet I’m out camping, hiking with my dogs, playing with raccoons, boating, paddle boarding, river floating, horseback riding or sitting by the water side taking in all of life’s joys and putting in some serious down time with the peeps’ I love.

My Love for animals started at a very young age, growing up we raised and rescued everything from bunnies, squirrels, raccoons, opossums, kittens, puppies you name it! I always had some kind of crazy pet growing up, my house was know as a petting zoo to all the local kids.
When I could start working at 13, I got my first job on a local horse farm where I spent my summers caring for over 20 horses.
In grade 12, I did my co-op placement at the OSPCA in Barrie which then turned into a full time job caring for all the shelter animals.
While applying to college, I landed myself a job at North Simcoe Vet Services working as a receptionist/vet assistant/on-call after hours assistant and cat groomer. Grooming cats every Wednesday for the clinic.
12 years quickly went by and with some life changes I found myself looking for a 9-5 job to be with my family more. Which led me to Pine Grove Animal Hospital where I spent 2 years grooming cats and offering this service to Pine Groves clients.
After leaving the vet hospital for a career change…cat grooming chased me down because NO ONE in our area would groom kitties not even other dog groomers.
After having many previous clients chase me down and encourage me, along with my husband to start my own cat grooming business…I did!
Krystles Cat Grooming has been operating full time for 5 years now out of my home location in Waubaushene.
I’m excited to join forces with Rebecca to bring our clients the best of both the cat and dog grooming world!
